The activities which consume the most bandwidth involve music and video downloads.
Please remember that your own computer also receives major software updates of which you are not always aware of. This can happen about twice a month and would use at least around 100 MB.
Wireless broadband is mainly designed for people that send and receive E-mails, browse the web, do some on-line shopping, download a few songs and send some family pictures to their friends.
For average user, 166 MB of bandwidth is hard to consume every day (33 MB if you are on a 1 Gb package) and you should not have to worry about exceeding 5 Gb in a month. You may want to check your computer if it has Limewire or Frostwire as these eat up an enormous amount and may want to disable them when not in use.
